Test, testing, 1, 2

There are a lot of hoops you have to go through before surgery. Luckily, insurance is not one of them for me. I'm self pay (gogo Mom!). I have to do the following, however:

Blood Work
Psych Evaluation
Pulmonary Consultation (I have no idea what this means)

as well as the Dr. Consultation and possibly a Sleep Study - though I think this might only be for those that complain about sleep apnea. Who knows though.

Along with that work, I have a bazillion papers to fill out, have to get all my doctors to forward my info to this doctor, and I have to attend a seminar (already done) as well as a 2 hour nutrition class and another doctor consultation.

It is a lot... but I'm so ready. These also cost a lot darnit. The Blood Work is the lowest costing at this point.

I had my Psych Evaluation on Tuesday at the Rose Medical. It went well. There is no pass or fail (even though I had read some people failing) with her. She just does the questionnaire and asks lots of questions and then forwards it to my doctor. He gets the final call.

I had a family doctor at Rose Medical while still on my parent's insurance, so when the evaluation was over, I meandered across the street and transfered my medical records. 1 down, 3 to go!

Today, I'm off to get blood work done. You have to fast for 12 hours before the blood work, so I'm kind of hungry! Then I'll head to another doctors to transfer records. Now that I have all the doctors information for the past 10 years I can finish filling out forms.

My Pulmonary Consultation is next Thursday and my first Dr. Consultation is July 2nd. I will have all the tests done, so hopefully it will speed up the process!
